Music Questionnaire

Please Complete My Music Magazine Questionnaire Located At The Top Of The Page (Direct Underneath "Gerald Thompson")

For the Preliminary Task, we had to produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead, I named my magazine the “Copland Insider”. Additionally we had to produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate your grasp of the program.

The purpose of this task was to familiarize ourselves with image manipulation programs (Serif PhotoPlus or Adobe Photoshop as well as desktop publishing (DTP) Serif PagePlus) and demonstrate our skill with the programs.

I used Serif PagePlus, because I am not too familiar with such programs and it seemed fairly straight forward and easy to use as well as it being very similar to Paint. PagePlus is a Desktop publishing and PDF editing software.

I didn’t really gain many skills from this task, because the software I was using was very similar to a software I am familiar with named “Paint”, but what I did learn was how to use the transparency tool and how to layer my magazine.

I believe my magazine cover is successful, because it’s nice and simple.

The image that I had taken was used as the background and I placed the rest of the information on top of the image.

The only thing that I would like to improve was my contents page, because the colour scheme didn’t really go with my title page.
